What you need to know about Throwdown Thursdays with Making Waves

Looking for new listeners this year? The upcoming Making Waves Battle of the Bands could be the perfect opportunity for you and your band.

Every Thursday, we’ll be offering a platform for local musicians, DJs and bands to share their talent with a new audience. Throwdown Thursdays will be taking place at the Sanford(venue to be announced soon)- a legendary hub for music, where musical geniuses like Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton cut their teeth at the beginning of their careers.

If you’re interested, here’s what you need to know about Throwdown Thursdays;

• All styles accepted. Whether you’re working as a solo artist, a DJ or as part of a band, this event is for you. Sets last 15-20+ minutes.
• Scores incorporate two factors. They’re based on how many fans attend the event, and a secret audience vote at the end of the session, too.
• There are prizes. The winning artist will receive $5 per raffle ticket in their voting box at the end of the event. If fans vote for the winning artist, they qualify for a unique raffle prize when the event finishes up.
• There will be a final event. At the end of the year, points are tallied up and the top 10 artists will be able to compete to win free studio time and the chance to be featured artists with Making Waves Agency.
